Nobody loves me
Nobody cares for me
I’m goin to the garden
To eat some worms
Big fat squiggly worms
Small thin wriggly worms
I’m goin to the garden
To eat some worms….
P.S I had this poem in a moral science book, way back in 4th class. Of all the stuff I read that time, this is the only one I remember clearly.
I’ll never know why…..
Something i have on my wall…
Don’t Quit
When things go wrong
As they sometimes will
And the road you’re trudging
Seems all uphill
When the funds are low
And the debts are high
And you want to smile
But you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you
Down a bit
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit!
Life is queer
With its twists and turns
As everyone of us
Sometimes learns
And many a failure
Turns about
When he might have won
Had he stuck it out
Don’t give up
Though the pace seems slow
You may succeed
With another blow.
Often the goal is
Nearer than
It seems to a faint
And faltering man
Often the struggler
Has given up
When they might have captured
The Victor’s Cup
And they learned too late
When the night came down
How close they were
To the golden crown.
Success is failure
Turned inside out
The silver tint
Of the clouds of doubt
And you can never tell
How close you are
It may be near
Though it seems so far
So stick to the fight
When you’re hardest hit
Its when things seem worst
That you musn’t quit.

Oh geez!!
Ajay (from http://www.ajaydsouza.com) and I were just having this long silly discussion over the weekend…
He was singing that silly tune & we were trying to figure out if it was from “Nobody’s child” or “Nobody’s dog”. We kinda settled on the latter because we hope no child out there is eating worms.
@ maximus: i have shed too much blood in this fight…soon there;ll be a day when the fight doesn;t matter any more….coz i wont be around for it 🙂
@ sophie: me too..
@ mel: hopefully no one is…though this poem has a much deeper meaning…n i know you;ll comprehend it 🙂
